ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) – Pennsylvania health officials have confirmed this year's first flu-related flu season.
Morning Call Reports The Ministry of Health announced a child's death at the end of the week ending January 26 in a weekly flu report.
The child's name and age are not missed.
Health officials say that so far, 25 adults have been linked to flu-related deaths, 10 years more than a week ago.
The Department of Health continues to classify influenza in such a widespread country that it has hit the south-east and north-western regions hardest.
In total, there were 19,757 laboratory-confirmed cases of influenza this season.
Last year's record high season was a total of 121,300 and 256 deaths.
