Eleider Alvarez (24-0, 12 KOs) and Sergey Kovalev (32-3-1, 28 KOs) both weighed in under the light heavyweight of 175 lbs, meaning their WBO championship rematch is official for Saturday night. Alvarez is the champion this time around, having KO'd Kovalev last August in what was considered a major upset at the time.
Also making weight are co-headliners Teofimo Lopez (11-0, 9 KOs) and Diego Magdaleno (31-3, 13 KOs) in the ten-round bout that represents another step in competition for Lopez. The other two championship fights feature WBO featherweight king Oscar Valdez (24-0, 19 KOs) and Carmine Tommasone (19-0, 5 KOs) both on weight while Richard Commey (27-2, 24 KOs) and Isa Chaniev (13 -1, 6 KOs) are good to go for the vacant IBF lightweight title.
