In his analysts 'review of Goldman Sach's Heath Terry said: "Investors' focus is on revenue growth …… most of the investors we talk to are still focusing on the risk that Amazon's growth rate will continue to decline." Terry is also looking for an update on how the proposed changes in India protect domestic competitors, will affect Amazon and its first quarter of guidance.
J.P. Morgan's analyst Doug Anmuth is on the Amazon list and is still one of the biggest companies. He said: "We believe that Amazon will drive high-end revenue recovery in 1Q, although we acknowledge that there are a number of time / comp dynamics and accounting changes that could be combined to be a small counter-wind to AMZN's typical jet reaction."
SunTrust Youssef Squali warned that "history shows that Amazon has made some progress over the 4Q street forecast because of the lack of visibility in the guidelines, and the difficulty of predicting high sales volumes."
