Brooklyn Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine works with federal prosecutors after he has given nine reasons and said he joined a violent gang in New York and helped others try to kill a rival gang member.
Last week's guilty party was a 22-year-old rapper named Daniel Hernandez. Information on this issue was opened on Friday in the federal court of Manhattan.
Known nearly as much for his tattooed and rainbow hair as his music, 6ix9ine was a phenomenon in social media before it became the dominant name for hip-hop.
It has 15.5 million followers for Instagram. His album Day69: Graduation Day was one of the best sellers in iTunes after its release in February.
6ix9ine was a successful multiplatin song "Fefe" with Nicki Minaj, who reached 3rd place on cards, and "Stoopid", with prisoner rapper Bobby Shmurda.
But he also showed his intention of destroying his escaping prospects, the success of the entertainment world. He publicly recognized himself as a street gang member. He admitted that he was guilty of being in Brooklyn for occasional traffic stoppages in May. In 2015, he was sentenced to criminal proceedings for a video of a 13-year-old girl having sex with another person.
At the time of the announcement, 6ix9ine said that in the fall of 2017 he joined a blood band for nine Trei and helped gang members kill a competitor last March.
"I did it to maintain or increase my position in nine Trey," he told Paul A. Engelmayer. He said he also "knew that another nine Trey members had a weapon and released it."
Rapper said he helped other gang members steal people with weapons, as part of the commitment of new gang members to commit at least two crimes.
On June 2, he said, "He paid the person to shoot an opponent to nine Trey to scare him." This shooting, he added, took place in Manhattan. 6ix9ine said he was paid for participating in a kilogram of cocaine in 2017.
"I apologize to the court, anyone who is hurt, my family, friends and fans for what I have done and what I am disappointed," said 6ix9ine.
With his dealings with prosecutors 6ix9ine, he can get an excuse for at least 47 years in prison, otherwise it is mandatory if he admits all the crimes and sincerity. The penalty was imposed on 23 January 2020.
Attorney Dawn Florio said that the safety of 6ix9ine was a big problem.
"At the beginning of the case, when we discovered that my client's security was at risk because of his accused, we have done everything we can to protect him and his family," he said, adding that these efforts are continuing.
6ix9ine is in a federal prison, although the location of the institution is not open.
"He must be separated from the people who threatened him," said Florio.
She said she was a fan of fans.
"All of his fans love him and Danny loves all his fans. He loves to hear from his fans," she said. "For security reasons, he is currently not responding to them."
