It is planned that 11 of the 13 best teams will play in the 14th week of the college football season, including each of the top six, as the race for the College Football playoffs and the positioning of the bowl reach the home stage. All eyes will be on Ohio’s 4th and 5th place at the start of the Texas A&M Games, before Our Lady’s No. 2 Cathedral and Florida’s Sixth Game in the afternoon, followed by Alabama No. 1 and No. 3 games. Clemson in the evening.
The Ohio State game in Michigan will be especially important to the Buckeyes (4-0) as they want to build on their precarious case for inclusion in the College Football playoffs. They have already seen two canceled games, which means that they will play no more than seven games before the last CFP selection. The state of Ohio has played just four games so far, compared to eight Alabama, nine Notre Dame, nine Clemson, seven Texas A&M and eight Florida teams.
So if the Buckeyes will fight a team of 2-3 Michigan states that have disrupted victories against Michigan and the Northwest this season, it could give the selection committee a reason for Aggies or Gators to bump in fourth place. This, of course, would only happen if Texas A&M handled Auburn and Florida beat Tennessee while the college football drama continued to heat up as the weather cooled.
