Solar storm INCOME: Space experts warn of "BIG ONE" position on Earth TOMORROW Science News



There is a huge hole on the top surface of the sun that releases cosmic radiation. Researchers say that the incoming storm is associated with the nearest minimum of the sun. The sun follows a cycle of about 11 years, reaching the maximum solar energy and then the minimum of the sun.

"The sun wind will return on January 31 or (most likely) on February 1."

The storm is classified as G-1, which means that it is likely to cause aurors in the northern or southern hemisphere, depending on where it arrives.

While this solar storm will not be a civilization, the Met office has warned that in the future we will face a monumental solar storm that could destroy Britain's technology and cost the United Kingdom a loss of nearly £ 16 billion.

The country can be broken up to the power grid because it is not sufficiently prepared for strong solar storms.

The weather forecaster believes that the United Kingdom does not have sufficient infrastructure to prepare for such an event.

The Met Office researcher said: "We believe that the loss of gross domestic product for the UK could be up to £ 15.9 billion in a one-year event that has no room weather forecasting capability.

"As the existing satellites are coming to an end, forecasting capabilities will decrease in the coming years, so if no future investments are made, critical infrastructure will become more sensitive to space weather."
