Super Smash Bros Ultimate is not the only Switch game that gets a big update this week. Nintendo also distributes a new patch for Mario Tennis Aces. The update is being downloaded on January 31, with various balancing adjustments, another Co-Op challenge resumed and a new gameplay: Boom Boom.
As of February 1, players will be able to unlock the classic Super Mario Bros 3 mid-cap player by competing in online tournament mode; everyone else, meanwhile, will automatically unlock her after March 1. You can look at Boom Boom in the trailer.
In addition to Boom Boom, Nintendo returns the Boo Hunt Co-Op Challenge by March 2, giving players another chance to unlock special alternative costumes for Boo. This particular task uses the Swing mode and there are players online to reach the ball in as many Boos times.
In addition, Nintendo adds Hosted Match mode to online and LAN playback. The AI is also improved and a number of characters are balanced. You can read all the patch notes for any changes.
Mario Tennis Aces has added several new characters since the start of the game, including Shy Guy, Diddy Kong, Petey Piranha, and Luma recently arrived in early January. The next free character of the game will be Pauline and she will be available in March.
