Batkivshchyna party leader Yulia Tymoshenko proposes to hold a referendum between Ukraine's presidential and parliamentary elections, which will take place in spring and autumn 2019, respectively, to adopt a new Ukrainian Constitution.

"We will go in a legitimate, constitutional way; we will not split the parliament through our roads, sow new confrontations. Our task is six months between presidential and parliamentary elections, a referendum, a new constitution and a new parliamentary election system," she said on the speech of freedom ICTV program on Monday evening.

Yulia Tymoshenko believes that it is necessary to remove the double force from the Constitution, so both the Prime Minister and the President actually govern the government.
