FIBA is not UEFA: Zaporozhye will host a match of basketball KM Ukraine

It turns out that Zaporozhye with a military position is safer than Poltava without it

The game of the qualifying tournament of the 2019 World Basketball World Cup national teams of Ukraine and Slovenia will not prevent the fact that in Zaporozhye, where the match will be held, martial law is introduced. This is reported by the official site of the Basketball Federation of Ukraine.

The position will come into force on November 28 at 9am local time. The game of teams of Ukraine and Slovenia will be held in Zaporozhye on the evening of November 29.

Yesterday, November 27, the Inspector of Safety of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) visited Zaporozhye, which inspected the arena where the match will be held and hotels where the teams will live. After this he met with the local authorities. As a result of the inspection, it was decided that the game, as planned, will be held in Zaporozhye.

It turns out that Zaporozhye with a military position is safer than Poltava without it. As you know, UEFA did not go into the essence of the matter, and in the aftermath of the announcement of the introduction of a military position in the ten Ukrainian regions, it moved the match of the European League of Football "Vorskla" – "Arsenal" (London) from Poltava to Kiev.
