This autumn, BMW showed the world a completely new generation of the 3 Series at the back of the G20, and now the enthusiasts are waiting for the release of a full-fledged M3 with a delayed breath. However, before its appearance, we are waiting for a debut for the most powerful basic version, "Chronicle.info reports, referring to Infocar.
At the Los Angeles Auto Show, which begins at the end of November, BMW will showcase the most powerful "three" from the non-M version that the bavarian has ever produced – the M340i version.
Under the hood, the M340i will have a 3-liter inline-six turbocharged engine delivering 382 horsepower and 500 Nm torque. She will receive more horsepower than all three models in history, with the exception of the last two versions of M3 and higher torque than ever before.
Although the BMW does not reveal all the qualities, the company claims that the M340i can accelerate to 100 km / h in 4.2 seconds and the maximum speed will be electronically limited at 250 km / h.
Engine power will be transmitted to the rear wheels (xDrive will be a four-wheel drive version) with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The model will also receive the M Sport suspension with active suspension and new shock absorbers, an electronically controlled differential, adjustable steering column and modernized brakes.
Judging by the photos, changes in the touch and interior, including more sporty seats and expensive leather trim, as well as a fully virtual instrument panel with projection on the windshield.
