High oil prices
Oil prices rose on the third day on Thursday, triggered by signs of falling US imports, as OPEC tried to cut market supply.
The US benchmark WTI crude oil price rose by 35 cents or 0.7 percent to $ 54.58 per barrel to 0249 GMT. In the US, raw production closed 1.7 percent on Wednesday as prices hit a 21-month high of $ 54.93 a barrel.
The future of Brent crude oil also increased by 52 cents or 0.8 percent to $ 62.17 per barrel.
The price increase occurred after the US Energy Information Administration report showed a decline in US raw material supply.
