The long-awaited Constantinople update has been officially activated in the Ethereum block chain.
The sixth largest update of the second largest cryptographic money system, released in 2015, was made in TSI 22.57 block 7,280,000.
It's not just Constantinople, it's today. St Petersburg's strong fork has also been activated. St. St. Petersburg was used to deactivate part of the Constantinople Code that was discovered to have a high vulnerability.
When two updates were activated, four different Ethereum Improvement Recommendations (EIPs) were officially launched on the Ethereum network. One of the most important changes was the reduction of mining prizes from 3 ETH to 2 ETH per block.
