On Friday night, a 42-year-old man was deadly injured in a box with a maneuvering locomotive in Basel.
As reported by the Justice and Security Department Basel-Stadt, the maneuvering locomotives were just before 1.30 clock from the Muttenz SBB station. Shortly before the signal box, a man (42) ran across songs, apparently ignoring the approaching locomotives.
The man was hit by a locomotive and injured his death.
Police assume that the deceased is the person who works in the area. It remains unclear whether he was employed on the railway itself.
The authorities explain how the accident is happening. The accident did not affect train traffic. (SDA)
