The Skanska construction company reported a profit before tax of SKK 551 million in the third quarter, compared with 1,468 million in the same period last year.
In mid-October, the report includes a statement of earnings, in which Skanska announced the write-off in the United States.
"As announced on October 18th, the project was depreciated in two projects and the decline in US goodwill was a significant result this quarter. The result is unacceptable and exceeds the strong profit in several Skanska business units," says Anders Danielsson, CEO of the report.
According to the Quarterly Interim Report, operating profit amounted to SEK 507 million, which is comparable to 1 466 million.
In the same period of 2017, Skanska's revenue increased to SEK 41.337 million from EUR 38.086 million.
