The US services sector slowed down in October than expected

The non-financial sector's ISM index fell to 60.3 points in October (from 61.6 points in September), which is the highest level of registered indices.

Washington, November 5 (TASR) – The US services sector slowed down in October than expected. Economic growth is still high.

The non-financial sector's ISM index fell to 60.3 points in October (from 61.6 points in September), which is the highest level of registered indices. Economists have added the index to 59.3 points. However, the index is well above the 50-point limit, which separates the decline from growth.

"The nonproductive industry was once again showing high growth, despite a slight cooling after the record month in September" said ISM chief Anthony Nieves.

In October, the business activity index dropped to 62.5 points from 65.2 points in September. The employment index dropped to 59.7 points from 62.4 points. The price index dropped to 61.7 points from 64.2 points.
