Is the big bang something unique, or could it have happened more than once?



In recent years, scientists have made significant strides in understanding our universe and its origins, says Dan Houer, a scientist at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. The big bang theory is a widely accepted theory about the origin of everything known. All data show that the universe originated exactly as this theory predicted. From this point of view, it may seem that understanding the origin of the universe is not such a complicated process.

Houer has written a book in which he talks about the four main secrets that are currently exploding cosmologists. The two biggest are the secrets of dark matter and dark energy. Houer argues that our knowledge of this pair of phenomena is equal to our knowledge which people have been in the air since 1850.

“We knew it existed, but we had no idea what it consisted of,” Hoer writes.

The greatest secrets of the universe

According to him, dark energy is more interesting than dark matter. He argues that this could help solve another mystery of modern cosmology – The ever-expanding expansion of the universe. Physicists have found that the expansion of the universe has accelerated over the past 7 billion years. Behind it lies a hitherto unknown force, and it is assumed that this force can only be dark energy.

Scientists are currently unable to find the answers, but they seem to be hiding at a time immediately after the big bang. At this point, a fundamental interaction could take place that formed the universe as we know it today. However, it all happened in a very small fraction of a second, says Houer. These are such small numbers that they are hard to imagine.

These universes would be in one vast space and would be separated by an insurmountable boundary.
