SINGAPORE – A total of 21 bus passengers, presumably a foreign worker, were taken to hospital on Sunday morning (December 6) after the bus they were on collided with a car on Jurong Island.
Police said they were all conscious when they were taken to three hospitals.
The 42-year-old driver was sent to the National University Hospital.
Due to the accident, the bus overturned to the side and the front of the car was almost crushed beyond recognition.
Singapore’s civil protection forces said 22 victims were taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, National University Hospital and Singapore General Hospital.
The accident happened at 7 o’clock in the morning at the end of the Jurong Island highway on Jurong Island.
The police investigation is ongoing.
