For a long time, it was thought that a rich breakfast in the morning prevents hunger during the day and thus helps people lose weight.
However, the new view shows that "the most important meal of the day" cannot help people control their weight.
The results show that the daily calorie intake is higher for people who eat breakfast, and that eating breakfast out during the day does not lead to more appetite.
One of the team at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia analyzed the impact of regular breakfast on weight changes and daily energy consumption based on 13 studies, mainly in the UK and the United States, over the past 28 years.
Several attempts were made to eat or release breakfast and weight changes, while others looked at the effect of breakfast on the daily calorie intake.
The study was chosen by people who had created or unstable breakfast habits, and their weight was observed for 24 hours 16 weeks.
The researchers found that the total daily calorie intake was higher in the groups who ate breakfast compared to those who ate it. On average, 260 calories a day were consumed, regardless of the usual breakfast habits. And the results showed that those who released breakfast on average were lighter than half a kilogram.
