Security measures were taken to ensure the better organization of the 26th edition of the FESPACO Panafrican Film and Television Festival, which will open the door on February 23 in Ouagadougou, in the context of the rise of terrorism, on Friday, the Burkese Minister of Culture, Abdoul Karim Sango.
Speaking in the Council of Ministers' conclusions this week, Minister of Culture Abdul Karim Sango said that "all measures are being taken to ensure that FESPACO takes place under optimum conditions."
He stressed that FESPACO, like other international cultural events organized by the state, would be safe.
The 26th edition of the FESPACO Panafrican Film and Television Festival celebrates its fiftieth anniversary, which will take place from 23 February to 2 March 2019 in the theme of its essence, economy and diversity.
