French subsidiary Nexans Maroc unveiled its first cable and transformer production plant in Abidjan on November 09
Nexans Morocco, A branch of the French group Nexans, opened on November 9th Ivory Coast, the plant produces electric cables for home and industrial use, electric transformers and folding substations.
An area of 32,000 m2 is located in the new industrial zone of Abidjan. This is the result of a partnership between Nexans Morocco, Nexans France and a group flight, Nexans brand distributor in the sub-region of West Africa for 30 years.
In the first stage of the installation it was necessary to invest 15 million euros. The second phase is scheduled for two to three years to expand product offerings.
The premises will be run by trained technicians at Nexans in Morocco.
