According to the Federal Department of Consumer Rights and Welfare Surveillance, the October Office of the Patients diagnosed with pneumonia increased by 31% compared with the same period last year.
The greatest increase in the incidence of specialist cases is observed in pupils and adolescents – in 37% of cases, in adults only 8% have more pneumonia cases. Among children under the age of 1 and 1-2 years, the incidence rate decreased by 13% and 10% respectively.
"This disease is registered in children's education groups. In any case, the educational organization carries out preventive measures, including the medical observation of contact points, strengthening of filters for the prevention of a person with signs of disease in the team, final disinfection of premises, ventilation and wet cleaning with disinfectants, restriction of mass measures among children, etc. ", – said Rospotrebnadzor.
Experts recall that bacteria, viruses, monocells, mycoplasas, chlamydia and fungi can become the cause of pneumonia, but streptococcus is a major cause of bacterial pneumonia. In order to avoid infection, it is recommended to avoid contact with already sick people, thoroughly wash your hands and periodically perform a damp cleaning.
The Ministry emphasizes that the situation with acute respiratory infections in the Chelyabinsk Oblast is still not an epidemic, but the incidence rate is lower than the threshold of 16.8%. Influenza cases in the region have not yet been clarified.
