The seven state hospitals 'operational unit nurses' strike will start on Thursday at 10:00. 08:00, extending until the end of February.
This announcement was published by two trade union bodies that convened this strike at the end of a nearly five-hour meeting at the Ministry of Health, which ended without agreement.
The Association of Portuguese Nurses Association (ASPE) and the Portuguese Nursing Union (Sindepor) had invited, but in the meantime, a surgical strike, scheduled for 14 January to 28 February, after about two weeks of meeting as an additional day for negotiation.
The strike is expected to cover seven hospitals: São João and Centro Hospitalar do Porto, Entre Douro and Vouga Center, Gaia / Espinho, Tondela / Viseu, Braga and Garcia de Orta.
At the end of last week, Sindepor issued a new announcement to extend the strike in three more hospitals from 8 to 28 February: Coimbra Hospital Center, Lisboa Norte Hospital Center, and Centro Hospitalar de Setúbal.
