The Mozambican government wants to reduce the number of HIV / AIDS infections to 70,000 per year



Joao Leopoldo, quoted by the Notícias newspaper, said 150 experts on HIV, tuberculosis and hepatitis were involved in the plan's review.

"This strategic plan sets out the key goals of reducing the HIV transmission of HIV by 50% by 2020," said Leopoldo.

He added that the aim of the event was to assess compliance with plans, indicating progress made and identification of good practices in response to HIV / AIDS.

A Deputy Minister of Health in Mozambique said that the strategic plan also aims to reduce the prevalence of HIV / AIDS by up to 5% from mother to baby until 2020, with disease-related mortality by 49% by 2020, as also to eradicate stigma and discrimination.
