The report is based on the latest information released by the Armed Forces. The Norwegian State Road Administration reserves the right to make changes. Military columns have a different driving pattern than other traffic. The column may have a maximum of twelve vehicles, and the speed may be lower than the permitted speed. The Norwegian State Roads Authority invites road users to be aware of and comment on the periods concerned, as well as to calculate some extra driving time on the roads concerned.
Traffic in training areas
Field training at the Trident Juncture has been completed. In the coming days, there will be a lot of military traffic from the training places and back to the gathering places. Then the staff, equipment and vehicles will be transported outside the country on the same roads and in the same way as it was – in military columns. The difference from inland transport is that the shipment takes less time. It is expected that delays and sometimes delays will occur in the relevant road network in November. The Norwegian State Road Administration recommends that you choose E6 Gudbrandsdalen until November 15 if you want to drive Oslo – Trondheim.
