The party wants Italy to discuss again the loan for the Renaissance artist Leonardo Da Vinci's lending to the Louvre Museum in France in connection with the sign that the artist died 500 years ago.
"Leonardo is Italian, he died only in France," said Lucia Bergonzoni, State Secretary of the High Political Party of the Ministry of Culture.
Leonardo da Vinci was born in Italy in 1452 and died in France in 1519.
"To give Louvre all these paintings, Italy is placed next to this important cultural trademark," Bergonzon said of the Italian state's 2017 agreement to issue Da Vinci paintings for an exhibition in Louvre in 2019.
