Swatch Group copper pink diamond Pink Legacy – Overseas –

In the Swiss city of Christie's auction, Pink Legacy, pink diamond with nearly nine quarters of carats, issued more than 50 million Swiss francs (more than 44 million euros). According to Christie, the buyer is the American Jewelry Network Harry Winston, a member of the Swatch Group.

The company has renamed the diamond to Winston Pink Legacy. In 2014, Winston also bought a rare blue diamond for $ 23.8 million, which was renamed The Winston Blue.

For pink Pink Legacy, the Pink Legacy is considered to be extremely unusual due to its mass and intensive, almost completely uniform color. Only one in 100,000 diamonds would be so high quality. Sometimes the gemstone belongs to the family of families Oppenheimer. The expected diamond benefit was estimated at 27-44 million euros.

The high demand for these very rare diamonds in recent years has led to a sharp increase in prices. The Pink Star Diamond Exchange exchanged in 2017 at the Hong Kong auction for a record amount of approximately € 67 million from the owner.

According to Christie, this is the highest price ever paid for a single carat of pink diamonds.

Swatch Group is the largest watch manufacturer in the world. These are well-known brands like Swatch, Omega, Longines and Brequet.
