Awith 1859 new infections, the province broke its record of 1855 cases set in a November 27 report. More than 125,000 new cases have been registered in Ontario to date.
Ontario also registers another 20 deaths, bringing the number of victims to 3,757.
The number of active cases in Ontario also continues to grow, even exceeding the limit of 15,000 active cases, which is another record.
1,624 Ontops have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours.
Another record has been set in the province, this time for COVID-19 testing. Slightly more than 59,000 tests have been performed since Friday the 24th.
