Elected president Andress Manuel López Obrador, said on Monday that the consultation on May Train, Transisthmian Train and the new oil refinery Tabasco the 24th and 25th of November
"I informed that this month, on May 24 and 25, we will conduct a wide-ranging consultation of citizens to ask Mexicans not only to the people of the South East, but also to all the Mexicans their views on these projects," he said after his meeting with the Yucatan leaders Mauricio Vila; Tabasco, Arturo Nuñez; Chiapas, Manuel Velasco and Quintana Roo, Carlos Joaquín González.
AMLO explained that he had complete conviction that people would vote for the construction of the May train.
"I am very convinced that people will vote because the May train is being built, because it does not harm anyone, and on the contrary – it benefits many people and most of Mexico's poorest southeastern people.
"For example, the press will always be against us, I told them that when we were going to do it on the second floor, the Reform newspaper was against it and launched a campaign and was built on the second floor. There was also a consultation, and then on the second floor, they even copied us ".
Regarding the Tabasco refinery, the elected president said that the construction of the plant will begin on December 16 in Palencia, Chiapas, as he explained in the past.
In addition, the discussion will also include questions about 10 social programs.
López Obrador warned that in this case he would not be "objective", as he said, he was in the airport project Texcoco.
"I tell them that I will defend these projects, that is, it will not be like advising on the airport, with which I am acting impartially. I will defend them for these 10 programs that will be discussed, of course, this is just my opinion, it will be my vote and the people will decide, but I want to tell you that I support 10 projects because they were the commitments I have put into the campaign.
"In any case, since our opponents are very firm in order to undoubtedly go to the discussions," he said in an interview before arriving in Merida.
Morenist added that the process that was used to negotiate a New York International Airport (NAIM) decision would be repeated because of "no violation."
"The consultation will take place at the same place as the consultations were conducted at the airport with one thousand 73 boxes."
