Federer's transition to the semifinals is still far from secure – he comes to Kevin Anderson's next, and with Nishikori and Tham playing each other, he will have to win to give himself the chance to succeed. It should be much firmer than Thai tonight.
Rogers is talking! "It feels good, I am very happy that I showed a reaction. I was not used to losing and then returning to the game, it was a good test.
"Against Kei, it was four – all, we both played very badly, and I felt pretty negative. It was a little disappointing, and in the end, Kei played better.
"Today, I play a lot better, and it's always a privilege to play here in London, and I tried to remember that."
Rodgers Federer beat Dominique Thom 6-2, 6-3!
It's all gone when Thijs sends the goalkeeper – his 34th mistake played. He had a lot of his games, but Federer had done the job and is his first victory in the tournament.
Second set: Thai 2-6, 3-5 * Federer (* denotes the next server) Will Thai make Federer with it? He attracts fizzing Federer to return less than a perfect start, then produces a neat half volley drop shot. Federer reveals his next return so widely and the challenges fail. Another thai mishit makes 30-all and he's caught by looping a return in a droplet Game point … Saved because Thoms own the next rally. Federer does not allow him to repeat, dominant in the second game …
Second set: Thai 2-6, * 3-5 Federer (* denotes the next server) Federer does not need to get out of the second gear, squeezing three heavens and winning the only rally when thi mishits ballooning the ball on the stands. Federer has said that tonight he was very strong.

Second set: Thijs 2-6, 3-4 * Federer (* denotes the next server) Finally, the comfort service of Thiemam as he loves. However, he loses the time to create a domain in his opponent's service.
Second set: Thai 2-6, * 2-4 Federer (* denotes the next server) Among these mistakes Thai has had a nice thing – he defeats Federer with the network here. Unfortunately, he is already 40-0 down, Federer seems to be very powerful – he has not yet faced a break point and is not here.
Second set: Thijs 2-6, 2-3 * Federer (* denotes the next server) Thijs shows his abilities in this game, especially in the forehand corner, that Federer can not come closer. At 40-15, he networks after Federer's chip shot reveals a low surface. Thijs is proud of the soul and looks ready to throw a towel, but finds the baseline with his back and hangs for his service.
Second set: Thai 2-6, * 1-3 Federer (* denotes the next server) The return of Tim strengthens the net, giving him the opportunity – but he makes the goal dirty and whispers, soothes his head. This is the only chance that he will be in regular storage, sealed with feather manure.
Second set: Thai 2-6, 1-2 * Federer (* denotes the next server) Each single, which is similar to London so far, has been won by straight sets, and it would be a surprise if it does not happen here. Thai at least shows some fighting here, moves 40-15 forward with cross-courter and find a great second serve hold.
Second set: Thai 2-6, * 0-2 Federer (* denotes the next server) Federer looks for a good nickname, although he does not exist. He comes to serve, to love.
Second set: Thai 2-6, 0-1 * Federer (* denotes the next server) Thijs has tried to be aggressive, but lacked precision to pull it out. He is trying to engage in a ground play with Federer here, but he's not happy Federer pinging it back effortlessly. Thie loses his heart, and rather makes him serve.
Federer wins first set!
First set: Thai 2-6 * Federer (* denotes the next server) Federer looks to serve from the set, and it's hard to see Thiem causing a lot of resistance. When I recorded it, he swayed down the line. It's 30-15, the second to serve, and Thiem wafts apologize for returning beyond the baseline. The Fed closes it out with the ace.
Some star football names in the crowd tonight: Real Madrid Toni Kroos, Bournemouth leader Asmirs Begovic and manager of West Ham Manuels Pellegrini. Federer is in the right age group; maybe he's a one-year deal.

First set: Thai 2-5 * Federer (* denotes the next server) Thiem does not have enough games to worry about 50% fiter; he hits an attempt to add to the network, then he adds a double fault to his unprincipled error. Another break point for Federer, who is considered Thiemu, does not suggest a slightly overwhelming volleyball.
First set: Thiem * 2-4 Federer (* denotes the next server) Thi may feel better after the second game on board – but can he do the federal career? Not here – Federer controls a shiny, looping drop shot and closes with ace.

First set: Thai 2-3 * Federer (* denotes the next server) Thai again in troublesome places, unpicked mistakes accumulate when he stops 15-30. In the second ministry, he grinds the rally, then goes to the network for the next. However, he overfills the other end and it's a jet. Federer puts forward the benefits of a return that rises to the plateau, and Thoms owns.
First set: Thiem * 1-3 Federer (* denotes the next server) Father's return is something that weakness Thiemam, and he fights here like Federer's race up to 40-15. Ace closes it and he looks good.

The first set: Thai 1-2 * Federer (* denotes the next server) Another Federer option of 15-30 pounds, but he's ahead of the balloons. For more than a decade, it's been a mistake. Thijs gets better results in the next rally but the nets as Federer beat him! Breakpoint, given that Thames overflows the line.
"Maybe Federer has a new deal with a trenchwear company – he has to wear it for longer," says Andrew Benton. "And 95% Federer can easily beat Thames!"
True, but Federer 95%? Can he beat Thai 80%? The answer is: possible.
First set: Thiem * 1-1 Federer (* denotes the next server) Federer tries to find his rhythm to serve, but blocks the ball in a network of 30-15. The first healthy bachelor first brings a safe first place.
The first set: Thai 1-0 * Federer (* stands for the next server) Thai link to the goal net to put 0-30, but rallies with a few punters. They then pass by giving up the breakpoint, but salvage it with a wide presence and impose the crown prince's winner. They miss a couple of chances to close the game, but this is accomplished with volleyball and quick cards.
Federer wins a shot and chooses to get the first one, which is his usual tactic. He kept his workout warming up, resulting in more speeches from Rustusmen and co that he did not feel 100%.
Players go to court. Federer is predictable enough to get much more ovation. The comment team thinks that he looks nervous – I doubt it.
Here is Roger! "I just need to improve the play, I'm a little more positive. I'm very happy that it's still possible. Dynamic tennis, I need to be aggressive and play to win."
Thai is a rare difference that Federer has a winning record, with two games per one. However, they have not played since 2016.
Of course, this year is not Andy Murray, but his brother Jamie has reached a semifinal doubles with his partner, Bruno Soares. They have just shot 6-4, 6-3 winners against the Colombian duo Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah. They go into semio in the third straight year, although they have never gone to the final.

Preamble
Hello. In the end of this season, round tournament stages can turn into complicated, confusing things, but the Roger Federer equation is very simple. He has to overcome Dominic Thiem or facial elimination in the final finals, for the first time since his repeated mockups and relocations to London in 2009.
Kei Nishikori's loss of opening has left him in an unstable position in his group, but Thi also dropped to win against Kevin Anderson. Federer is still a strong lover to win tonight, but Nishikori's performance today – a terrific 6-0, 6-1 loss to Anderson – poses a question about Federer's form. The play starts at 20:00 GMT.
