Today, it is more interesting to me to observe the influence of artificial intelligence on the virtual and supplemented reality and how it will change the world in which we live, work and study. Imaging technologies, virtual and augmented reality, are already applicable to education, sports, medical treatment and safety. It is therefore my great pleasure to watch our unexpected lives in the next decade to cover this technology and how it will positively change our daily lives.
Artificial intelligence is able to learn and improve. What do you think is the level he has achieved at this time?
I always say there are two ways to talk and evaluate artificial intelligence. First of all, there is a narrow artificial intelligence that performs certain things very well, but can not decide itself to study and develop independently in other fields. For example, scientists can teach such artificial intelligence to win the world's best strategy gaming player Go, but this artificial intelligence will never succeed in love affairs.
What is the other way?
It is self-employed artificial intelligence, which in itself decides what you want to do. For example, he is good at playing chess, but he himself decides to want to learn how to do it and that's what he does well. There are now many examples of narrow artificial intelligence in the world, but we do not yet have another type. Unfortunately, we are still far from him, and it's still hard to predict when the artificial intelligence will reach a higher level.
The skeptics are afraid that the virtual reality removes human work. Can this happen?
If we look at this story, we see that people were always afraid that technology will take up space and take away their work. But on the contrary, experience shows that they help to make work faster, easier and more efficient. Millions of years ago, people themselves created pyramids and stone wings, and today builders can handle huge machines that make it easier for them to work. Thanks to artificial intelligence, people no longer need to enter data into Excel spreadsheets or do other digital work that they can do better with devices. People do not go, they just will manage these processes.
What, in your opinion, can still be expected from artificial intelligence after 5 years?
In the five-year perspective, there will be no areas in which artificial intelligence will not be applied. Everything – from medicine to games, from company to marketing – will inevitably be affected by artificial intelligence. I think that five years have passed since the artificial intelligence becomes a daily routine.
