The Aurora Wesley United Methodist Church organized the "Celebration of the Neighbors", the 11th anniversary of the Thanksgiving Service, which has 10 community faith communities on November 18th.

Sponsored by Interqueith Aurora, an ecumenical group, the celebrations were thematic "celebrating neighbors". Music, poems, notes and readings were offered by Christians, Muslims and Jewish actors.

Faith communities represented the Aurora Jewish Revival Church, Temple B Israel, St. John's African Methodist Bishopric Church, Wesley UMC, Orchard Community, Sikh Community, Baha'i Community, St. St. John's Unified Church of Christ, Our Lifers' Church and St. Joseph Catholic Church, everything in Aurora; and the Al Aqsa Mosque in Plainfield.
