This year's press conference, the Cypriot president, Nikos Anastasiadis, avoided commenting on the resignation of Kotzia from the Greek Foreign Ministry and whether this and the transfer of Mr Cyprira from the ministry are "a step back or forth".
"I would not want to comment much and compare whether Mr Kotzis is more appropriate than Mr Cypriot. I consider both good patriots," said Anastasiades, according to a correspondent for the Athens news agency.
Asked how often he contacts Mevlott Tsavousoglou and contacts some in Turkey if something happens in the EEA, he replied that his meeting in New York with Mr Tsavousoglou was resolved at the Kotzia meeting and Tsavousoglou, "since the (Turkish Foreign Minister) sent a message that he wanted to come. We have been acquainted with Mr Tsavousoglou since 2005, but this is the second flight when we talk about the Cyprus problem, "said Anastasiades.
He also said that his proposal for the decentralization of powers "creates a sense of security for the Turkish Cypriot people, removes the positive resilience of the votes in all decisions, but also removes Turkey's claims regarding the safeguarding of safeguards and invasive rights in order to protect Cyprus from arbitrary Greek Cypriot decisions."
Answering the question, President Anastasiades said that "if a solution is found, there will be no Turkish Cypriot EEZ".
