200 people died in Congo over an outbreak of Ebola

The National Health Service of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) said on Sunday that more than 200 people died from the Ebola virus.

"About half of the victims are from a city in Benin, where 800,000 people live in the northern part of Kivu," the BBC's Health Agency announced. "The immunization program has so far vaccinated up to 25,000 people.

Congo health minister Olli Ilonga said that "armed groups continue to persecute the affected areas of the medical group".
