In this positive development, Channel 13 accounts for an increase of 16.4% of revenue until September, bringing the total to $ 58,783 million. The company pointed out that the main factors were an increase in advertising sales, an extraordinary investment in the sale of equipment in accordance with the plan to use outsourcing production areas for the Spanish company Secuoya and the transfer of antennas to the Torres Unidas, which has been phased out for four years.

It was accompanied by a better cost scenario, which, from September 2019, was $ 50,987 million to $ 46,685 million. This reduction of 8.4% "is partly consistent with another combination of lower self-fulfillment programs and packaged programs for more purchases," said the company.

In connection with the upcoming year end, the channel relied on the fact that the trajectory in the fourth quarter of 2018 will allow them to continue to make a profit, although they warn that their volume may be lower, depending on the low dynamics of the observed advertising industry. in recent months.

Chilevisión reduced losses by 71%

Chilevisión, in its third quarter of this year, said its loss had fallen by 71%, and this item has been cut by more than a billion pesos to reach $ 413 million. In this way, the red figures for the nine months of this year amounted to $ 7297 million, down 104 million compared to the same period in 2017.

The station said that the main explanation for this improvement during the July-September period is a 21% increase in ordinary income, reaching $ 14 473 million. "This has been Chilevisión's best quarter in the last three years, mainly due to the success of our Prime bloc, which rose by 16% in the household and 33% in the commercial rating." Compared to last year, CHV not only took third place to second place, it's the only channel that has increased the audience's audience by 3% in the household rating, "said Anerslomo Granie, Turner Chief Financial Officer in Chile.

From these results, the executive said that they could mark a milestone, as according to the channel estimates, "losses in the last quarter could be further reduced".
