Exmandatario noted that in 1982, Eduardo Frei Montalva, the date of the Chilean murder, was the country where the mind was insulted. Lagos' statements follow the failure of 811 pages dictated by Judge Alejandro Madrid on that day.
In the afternoon, following a ruling confirming the murder of former President Eduardo Frei Montalva, exmandatario Ricardo Lagos, referred to the case and said that what had happened was "an unusual event in Chilean history".
In a conversation with former Head of State, Radio Cooperativa said "Augusto Pinocet is responsible for this murder." However, he added that "let us not forget that the military regime consisted not only of the military. In January 1982, there were many civilians in high government positions."
Lagos also said that Chile in these years "was the country where anger … (but) to get to date?".
