Tommy Dreamer was the last guest Why did it end with Robbie E. podcast Dreamer opened several topics, including an ECW invasion, when the ECW stars saved a group of children from a life-threatening wreckage of buses, why he chose not to do with Stephanie McMahon and why he eventually abandoned WWE.
About ECW Invasion:
WWE spoke to me. This weekend, I made two exhibitions of Dusty Rhodes, his Turnbuckle Championship bout, and then I flew to Buffalo to perform the ECW reunion show that I was driving. Was on Sunday and on this flight, when I got to the city of Buffalo, told me I'd be in RAW and then I had to fly down to Atlanta and all the time I was on the road, Dusty was: "Will you take me to WWE?" I was like "Dude, I do not know anything. JR [Jim Ross] has called, but I have not heard. It lasted a long time. "I discovered Sunday before I went there and he said," Do you despise? "It was a secretary and they changed my trip … they, for example," do not worry, "we will fly from Buffalo to Atlanta, Atlanta to La Guardia." I found out the night before. I agree that it was one of the best RAW because we were shocked by the world. They never saw it. I loved it, and I remember that just before I went, Rob Van Dams did these quick jumping jack shots for what he was doing and he goes: "Dude, are you nervous?" And I went: "No. No. He was like" Yes, I do not. "Then I go:" For me, I really want Louie Spicollie to be alive because he would have emerged, and the first guy calls us. " "Kane was in the ring like" Go! " "Go!" We had a regular conversation about this and we hit the ring, so I worked, and then I was working the next night. I did not even have a contract.
About the importance of his father, seeing him fight:
My other most successful part is my father loses his vision, and in his eyes there was an operation. He had glaucoma and had an eye on surgery, and she had a 20/20 vision for his first three weeks in his life, and for three weeks when I debuted to WWE, he saw that without glasses. Later he lost sight in his left eye and had only 10% vision (or precise vision) in his right eye. He really got the strep eyes and completely lost his vision, but he was seeing it – my father was the one who got me in the fight, and he supported me all my career, took me to WrestleMania I – this was one of my favorite achievements in my career The wrestling in Madison Square Garden with him and my uncle in the audience and then buying him at home was one of my favorite things.
About Jim Ross:
I will always credit Jim Ross as the only boss to never lie to me, and he said: "Do not worry." I actually fought without a contract for a month, which in my opinion is a bit stupid, because God does not give me a hurt or something, there was nothing else there.
Rescue a child from a bus wreck:
If you want to hear a cool story nobody knows about, Bill DeMott and Stevie Richards returned to the gym again, and this school bus goes weird, and the school bus goes away … hit the noise, hit an electric survey and put it down on their side with a small group of children …. The school bus shifted on its side by closing the electrical survey. I, Stevie and Bill DeMott jump and the back bus will not open. The driver either had a stroke or a heart attack, and with no electrical failure, Bill DeMott climbed all the way up and we started pulling the children out of this bus, because the electric wires go everywhere, and we all left the bus. We were like superheroes of real life … the children were rescued from fire or electric shock.
About the backstage policy of WWE:
ECW had very few policies. Poker games come at a time when you are at WWE and of course you want to succeed and why you want to succeed is money. Do I love to be a champion? Yes, but that did not happen. There were only a few pressed on the table. I had to make 2-3 pay-per-view views with a triple H and it was not aligned. I needed to be at one point, to mark the team champions with Rob Van Damu, and it did not succeed. It was not on the cards and you know why? Since the fight is fake and you are just as good as anyone wants you to be, that's fine. I do not regret everything I've done, and so my career is not over yet, and I'm fighting 206 shows this year.
About Raven's Backstage Heat WWE:
Have you ever met Raven? Raven had a lot of heat again. He would be himself and he would also ask. At one point he is not allowed to talk to the WWE box for two months. He was supposed to go to the battleship court and the only time he was allowed to talk was that he could transfer his games and if he was tied up, his sentence would double, so he went on a month, maybe two months without speech. It was ridiculous for him to have had time, but he had something to dig his grave.
Whether he likes to work behind the scenes:
I do not think many people realized that I was 29 years old when ECW left the job and I gave twenty to ECW, and now I'm in my thirties, and they told me they want me to retire quite a bit and work in the office. I was not satisfied with this position, but at the same time my wife was our twin pregnancy and there were no fighting in other places, so it was either a job or you would be unemployed. This is a cool thing, and I learned a lot from my time in the office, and I learned about politics. I learned a lot from Vince [McMahon] and I learned a lot from John Laurinaitis, almost like playing the game, although I do not like it, but I did, and it actually helped me in my second team. I have to see two sides in each story, because jerk wrestlers …. Always like, "It's an office against me. It's always us against them," if it's not always the case, because nobody wants to look in the mirror and says: " Maybe it's me. Would I be a champion? I should be serious champions, "but then you think about how you can become heavy champions when they sing another company called ECW? Or how could you be a champion when you wear a shirt and the boss loves muscles guys? Nobody wants to say these things. People just want to blame other people for not having the pressure. That's why I did a lot of soul searching and a lot of learning. I also learned that WWE wanted me to come from the first day.
