Toronto Raptors has used one of the NBA's most up-to-the-minute schedules a quarter way through the season, turning the league's record high since it's over in November.
Now the going gets tough raptors as 10 of their next 12 matchups are coming against teams above .500. Toronto launched this difficult phase with a 122-114 victory over the surprisingly good Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday.
Pending 22-60 Campaigns 2017-2016. In the year, Grizzlies returns to its significance thanks to its subtle-out-out mentality, reinforced by the rigorous defense and restorative efforts of veterans Marc Gasol and Mike Conley.
After completing a large part of the night, Raptors turned the other side and took the sixth straight victory. Here are some wild wild game from Memphis.
Kawhi Leonard, who fought a large part of the evening offense, sealed Toronto's victory with his playing abilities under the bar.
In the fourth quarter, when Raptors and Grizzlies exchanged balls, Leonard found Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet on the back three-corner back properties that gave Raptors a six-point advantage, with about four minutes left to play. Leonard then finished VanVleet three more times with two minutes to extend the benchmark 116-109. Memphis never came close to this dick.
Leonard completely opened the game with his three indicators to finish with a strict line of 17 points, 10 rebounds and five assists with only one turnover. It shows how many former Finals MVP mediators can be, even if its score is not the best.
Memphis boasts one of the main NBA gaming centers in Gasola. Those coaches who want to play with their games, depending on the competition, seemed to Nick Nurse to start Jonas Valanciunas to cope with Gasol's size.
This was not the case when Nurse Serge Ibaka gave intent to eliminate things and seemed to be paying dividends soon. The gash had to stretch out to cover Ibaka, and Raptors was able to capitalize, but the first minute and a half of the game was a quick 8-0.
Grizzlies responded and controlled a large part of the game, but Ibaka had an effective offensive night gaining 16 points for an effective 7-in-11 shootout. Valansciun saw only 14 minutes, but finished with nine points. On the other hand, Gazelle had the opportunity to get the best Toronto big game on a high-performance 27-point game.
The first half of the blues
A fast glance in the first half of the card scores would give the impression that Raptors had a roll: 58 percent of the shootings, 50 percent of the three-point range, and 10 fast break break points against the strongest defense team association. Half time? 71-59 Grizzles.
Nine Turnovers and Bad Defense Raptors hurt a lot in the first 24 minutes, as the league's lowest point team could score in Toronto for 71 points. Regarding the context, the Grizzlies average only 103 points per game.
It seemed that Memphis was able to defend his easy victory, but Raptors refused to transfer …
Arriving in the third quarter, Raptors was in a unique position. The nursing club is usually one with two-digit management, not the other way round. Though Toronto tends to allow its opponents to return to the games rather than to step up their throats, their rally was on Tuesday.
After falling to 17 points in the third quarter, Raptors returned to the middle of the 20-8th release frame to return to the game. Particularly VanVleet was the main goalkeeper for Raptors' return to victory, and he seems to shake from his slow start with four consecutive double-digit scores.
The 24-year-old evening ended with a total of 18 points for a perfect 6-in-6 shoot. Lowy finished with the best team with 24 points and added six assistants for a good event.
