As I wrote this Monday, I supported the Board of Directors of the National Capital Commission, which grants an extension to the RendezVous LeBreton Group.
On the next Monday evening, NCC announced that the board had approved the extension, so the preferred RLG bidder status would not be dead on Saturday, but would live at least until February 28, banning other billions of dollars in litigation or other nonsense.
Nothing like a sudden death overtime.
More interesting is the CTV Ottawa report on Monday evening that Devcore Canderel DLS, the first contestant to develop LeBreton, is also part of the mediation process. It would be a DCDLS group with legitimate power, such as the billionaires André Desmarais and Guy Laliberté and the respected Mierins family in Ottawa, who recently sold most of their Mierins Automotive Group.
Oh boy.
