EDMONTON – Aurora Cannabis Inc.ACB.TO) Has signed a deal to purchase Whistler Medical Marijuana Corp. equity transactions with a value of up to USD 175 million, including some interim payments.
According to Edmonton-based Aurora, the purchase of a private company is supposed to provide it with a premium and biologically certified product set.
Whistler operates in two indoor licensed manufacturing facilities, including Whistler, B.C., and a short drive from the resort town.
After the second location reaches its full capacity, the total production capacity of the equipment is expected to be over 5,000 kilograms per year.
The deal is subject to the usual closing conditions as well as third-party and regulatory approvals.
Aurora shares closed $ 8.47 on the Toronto Stock Exchange on Friday.
