Beerschot Wilrijk has been appointed Tongeren Court as the plaintiff in a major money laundering investigation and organized games in Belgian football. That's what Rat said on Tuesday night.

As a plaintiff, Beerschot can then closely monitor the case and assess the possibility of damage to the clubs D1A and D1B. Earlier, the Belgian Football Federation (URBSFA) and the pro league had already been set up by civilians.

"Beerschot, of course, will respect secrecy during the investigation, but will contact in time," the Antwerp Club announced on its website.
