Series such as Cobra Kai, Impulse, Step up: High Water or the documentary "Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated" are so-called YouTube Originals. These are original series and movies that can only be viewed on the Google platform. So far, users need a YouTube Premium subscription.
Although you pay the same for YouTube Premium as the Netflix standard subscription, but fewer content is available. YouTube is also worse in comparison to sites. For this reason, the video platform wants to provide its initial programs for everyone from January 2019 to expand the audience.
Comments should also be accepted
The company is calling the new strategy to market its YouTube Originalals "Single Slate". Now some titles, such as the second season of the season's Cobra Kai season, are karate, but still behind the game. By 2020, all initial programs should be available free of charge.
In the future, YouTube no longer has comments. Semi-transparent information boxes that overlay the image in some clips still need to be manually switched off. From 15 January 2019 it is no longer required. After that, all comments will be removed, informing YouTube support page.
