Gerald Mayer becomes Amag boss since March 2019
Ranshofen Now it's official. As reported only yesterday, Gerald Mayer (47) will become Amag CEO.

On March 1, 2019 he is Helmut Wieser (65 years old) as Chief Executive Officer. It was announced by the company following yesterday's Supervisory Board meeting.
The Supervisory Board also extended the contract of technical director Helmut Kaufmania (55) until 31 December 2022. Mayer, who has been a CFO since 2007, will take on this function in addition to his chief executive officer until he is appointed CFO.
According to a press release, the council also decided to immediately launch a search process to fill the sales management board in order to best support the direction of growth it initiated. Thus, the company boosts top management from the previous three to four people.
New Board of B & C
B & C Privatstiftung, which has the majority of Amag, Lenzing AG and Semperit, is a new member of the board. Norbert Zimmermann, chief shareholder and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Berndorf AG, and Chairman of the Schoeller-Bleckmann Oilfield Equipment Supervisory Board, joins the board. Zimmermann is taken over by Stefan Fida, who intervened in the fall of 2017 after the death of board member George Bauthen.
