An 18-month-old boy is in a state-of-the-art hospital with a meningococcal infection, as SA health care workers work with a child care center to ensure the health and safety of other children.
SA Health has identified a number of people who have had contact with a child and people aged 28 have received antibiotics as caution.
Health officials work with the staff at the Children's Care Center of the Picket Road in Paradise Mountains to ensure that all children and parents who may have contacted the patient receive appropriate care and advice.

South-eastern Australia has had 31 cases of meningococcal infections this year, compared to 35 cases at the same time last year.
There is no connection between the latest case and any previous cases.
From 31, 25 there was B strain, four W strain and two Y strains.
Last year, 36 cases were reported – 22 from strain B, 11 from strain W and 3 from strain Y.
