Compressed natural gas (CNG) will increase by 14.3 percent in Buenos Aires on 1 December. Thus, the cubic meter moves from 14 pesos to 16. In this way CNG has accumulated an increase of 65 percent per year, along with petrol and diesel.
The increase is due to rising gas prices in the wells. This is the largest increase since 2002. Earlier this year, the cubic meter price was 9.65 pesos. In the city of Buenos Aires, the CNG value is 55 percent cheaper than liquid fuel, the difference is not maintained in the rest of the country.
The greatest value is found in Santiago del Estero: the price of cubic meters is 23.15 pesos. Meanwhile, Chubut already has values that will take place next Saturday in Buenos Aires. In spite of the increase, the conversion rate of petrol cars to CNG is maintained. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year in October, it increased by 71.3 percent.
