In December, the price increase slowed down for the third consecutive month: 2.6%

The monthly figure corresponds to the market expected figure, as the consultants consulted calculated an average consumer price index (CPI) increase of 2.5 percent in December.

Although inflation remains high, the third month after the September peak (6.5%) declined.

They were confirmed by the BCRA "Since monetary policy works with delays and adjustments to regulated prices and outstanding wage contracts, it is normal to expect that monthly inflation will remain at these levels in the coming months."
