Mr Lohr Vineyards & Wines announces the 10th anniversary of his National Touch Life Campaign, which provided more than 6,500 mammographies for women in need.
Mr Lohr donates $ 3 from each of his limited releases to J. Lohr Carol's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon bottle at National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. (NBCF). This booming partnership supports NBCF's efforts to raise awareness about breast cancer through early diagnostic services, such as mammography and patient navigation programs that help women with health barriers to provide timely diagnosis, treatment and support.
Touching on life was intended when Lohr's family lost Carol Waldorf Lohr, wife of Jerry and Steve, Cynthia and Lawrence's mother, in 2008 due to breast cancer complications. Carol is a brave Carol Vineyard, a 35 acre-certified vineyard estate in St. Helena, from which Carol's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is developed.
"Our deeply personal family story, by many distributors, accounts and consumers from all over the world, is on our own initiative actively engaged in the fight against breast cancer, using the resources available in our Touching Lives toolkit," said Cynthia Lohr. co-owner and trade and brand advocate with J. Lohr. "Although October is the national month of breast cancer awareness, the progress of this year's program benefits all participants and, above all, every eight women who will get breast cancer diagnosis during her lifetime."
Mr Lohr Vineyards & Wines marked this 10-year turning point in support of the eighth time the Napa Valley Film Festival last week. In November 2014, J. Lohr Carol's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon was offered with additional J. W. Lohr Vineyard wines, which were served at the Patrons' Circle for dinner on November 8th and were used for festivities throughout the weekend.
"We are proud to partner with the Lohr family," said Kevin Hails, President and Chief Operating Officer of NBCF. "They have been an extremely inept partner who has had a significant and tangible impact on the lives of thousands of women over the past decade. Thanks to the commitment of companies such as J. Lohr, NBCF is able to significantly expand its support to the health and well-being of citizens and communities across the country."
