JOHANNESBURG – The Department of Energy claims that it believes that scarring has reduced gasoline prices by almost 10 cents.

From Wednesday drivers will have to take 7 cents more per liter of gasoline.

Diesel prices will rise by 1 to 2 cents per liter.

Consumers will now pay 7 cents less for paraffin.

Robert Maake of the Department said: "Strengthening scars has reduced prices."
