Eskom on Thursday announced a first-rate rotational crash, which will be launched at noon. From 12:00 to noon 22:00.
The energy utility stated in the statement that the reduction in load was due to the fact that one of its plants was in the planned maintenance.
"Reducing the rotational load of the first stage requires a massive load of 1,000 MW throughout the country. Spill loading is the last resort to protect the power system from total collapse or blackening," said Escott.
