CAPE TOWN – Banyana Banyana Chief Trainer Desiree Ellis, Coach of the National Women's Team of 2018, and CAF Women's National Player Thembi Kgatlan, who also won the annual CAF goal, has been invited to the 2019 State Address (Son) on Thursday in Cape Town.
Ellis and Kgatlan will be guests of Parliament President Ciril Ramaphosa.
“2018 year has been an amazing year, and so far 2019 started with an explosion, not just me but Banyana Banyana [as well]. What is the best way to start it with an invitation to one of the most requested events of the year. I really appreciate this honor to be in this prestigious assembly. Many thanks to the President. And it is also hot for the president's calls, which we personally call and want us to get a better idea of 2018 women's AFCON final in Ghana. ”
Ellis, however, will travel alone, because Kgatlan is already a member of the club; Kgatlan has indicated that she is grateful for the invitation.
"On another day I wouldn't have noticed it to the world, but there are some urgent questions about my club that I have to visit and it is not clear how long they will do it, unfortunately I will have to reject the invitation. But thank you to the President for the invitation, I am a gang of this gesture. ”
